Job description

Join our Outpatient Department and play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Health Care Assistant to work alongside our senior outpatient clinical team, ensuring a first‑class experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

In this varied and hands‑on role, you will support registered nurses and consultants across our Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Centres (ODTCs), contributing to the full spectrum of patient care—from chaperoning consultations and assisting with minor procedures to undertaking wound care, venepuncture, pre‑operative screening, and the application of splints and supports. You will also provide valuable assistance in our ultrasound, MRI, and X‑ray departments, helping to ensure clinics run smoothly and safely.

You’ll take responsibility for maintaining high clinical standards by performing essential governance checks, ensuring accurate patient records, supporting stock management, and keeping consulting and treatment rooms clean, safe, and well-prepared. Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with Front of House and the wider outpatient team to deliver seamless, efficient and patient‑centred care.

If you are flexible, organised, eager to learn, and committed to making a meaningful difference every day, we would love to hear from you. Become part of a supportive, forward‑thinking team where your contribution truly matters.
