Job description
Fortius Clinic are hiring a Senior Recovery Nurse to join their Recovery and Enhanced Care Unit. This is to work in their Surgical Centre in Marylebone, London.
This role is ideal for Nurses who have worked across recovery, HDU, ITU or critical care settings.
This is a full-time permanent position.
37.5 hours per week.
£44-49k per year.
Monday to Sunday, with a flexible shift pattern (no nights!).
Purpose of Job:
Collaboratively assist in assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in the Post anaesthetic care (Recovery) and in Enhanced care unit (ECU).
In charge of the shift depending on the day of allocation either in recovery or in ECU.
Ensuring the provision of nursing care, maintaining high clinical standards, and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
In the absence of lead and Deputy lead practitioner to ensure appropriate staff skills and equipment are available.
Responsible for the safe use of all equipment and ensuring the training of the team members in the use of this equipment.
Delivery of a high level of post anaesthetic care for patients within the Theatre Recovery Room.
Working with the Anaesthetic team to deliver high quality, safe patient care.
Maintain the skills and standards to manage level 1, 2 & 3 patients in the enhanced care unit.
Active member of the emergency response team.
Participation in the on-call rota and internal rotation of shift

Job requirements
Requirements:
Registered NMC/HCPC.
ILS Qualification.
Strong post qualification experience.
Professional experience from high dependency or critical care setting.
Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across a varied patient case mix.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Experience working with spinal cases (ideal).
ALS Qualification (ideal).
EPALS Qualification (ideal).
HDU/ITU course (ideal).
Mentor/Practice Assessor (ideal).
